Tying steps

  1. Slide gold bead onto hook, mount in vise.
  2. Lay black thread base from bead to bend.
  3. Tie in 2 brown biots as forked tail.
  4. Tie in gold oval tinsel.
  5. Tie in 3-4 peacock herl, twist into rope, wrap to bead.
  6. Rib with gold tinsel in 5 turns.
  7. Wrap 2-3 turns of brown hen hackle.
  8. Tie in 2 white biots flat over the back.
  9. Whip finish behind bead, head cement.
