Tying steps
- Mount hook. At the rear 2/3, dub a fat round black ball abdomen.
- Pinch thread tight to create a distinct narrow waist.
- At mid-shank, tie in white poly yarn or CDC and figure-eight to form flat spent wings.
- Dub a smaller black ball thorax at the front 1/3.
- Optional: wrap 1-2 turns of black hackle at the waist between the body segments.
- Whip finish, apply UV resin to the bodies for durability and shine.
