- Rib: Fine gold wire
- Abdomen: Hare's ear dubbing, brown

- Legs: Partridge fibers or brown hen back
- Thorax: Brown hare's ear dubbing
Tying steps
- Mount hook, lay brown thread base to bend.
- Tie in 4-5 pheasant tail fibers as tail, one hook-gap length.
- Tie in fine gold wire for ribbing.
- Dub a tapered brown hare's ear abdomen to the 60% mark.
- Rib in 5 open turns with gold wire, tie off.
- Tie in a dark turkey tail wingcase strip.
- Tie in partridge fiber legs on each side.
- Dub a round brown hare's ear thorax.
- Pull wingcase forward, tie down, whip finish, head cement.
