- Mount hook. Lay dark brown thread base to bend.
- Tie in 3 dark pheasant tail fibers as tail, hook-gap length.
- Tie in fine copper wire for ribbing.
- Wrap pheasant tail fibers or dub dark mahogany abdomen to 60% mark.
- Counter-wrap copper wire in 5 turns, tie off.
- Tie in dark turkey tail wingcase strip.
- Tie in dark partridge leg fibers on each side.
- Dub a compact dark mahogany thorax.
- Pull wingcase forward, tie down, whip finish, head cement.
