- Body: Tan-brown hare's ear dubbing
- Rib: Fine gold wire
- Wing: Mottled brown turkey quill or comparadun deer hair
- Hackle: Brown and grizzly (mixed)
Tying steps
- Mount hook. Tie in comparadun-style deer hair wing fanned 180 degrees.
- Wrap to bend; tie in split brown hackle tail.
- Dub tan-brown hare's ear body from bend to behind wing.
- Rib with gold wire.
- Wrap mixed brown-grizzly hackle 4-5 turns, tie off.
- Whip finish, head cement.
