How to tie the Olive Sculpin Leech (Streamer)

Materials
- Hook: Tiemco TMC 5263, #2-6
- Thread: Uni 3/0 Olive
- Tail: Olive marabou (long) + a few olive Krystal Flash strands
- Body: Olive schlappen or marabou wrapped forward
- Rib: Medium copper wire
- Pectoral fins: Mottled olive hen saddle or grouse (tied flat)
- Head: Olive deer hair (spun and trimmed flat/sculpin-shaped) or large olive conehead
Tying steps
- Mount hook. Lay olive thread base.
- Tie in a long, full tail of olive marabou plus 4-6 strands Krystal Flash.
- Tie in medium copper wire at bend.
- Tie in olive schlappen or marabou feather at bend.
- Wrap feather forward in touching turns building a full body, tie off at 3/4.
- Rib with copper wire in 5 turns.
- Tie in flat mottled hen saddle pectoral fins on each side.
- Spin olive deer hair for a sculpin-shaped head and trim flat on bottom.
- Whip finish, coat head thread with head cement.
