- Rib: Fine gold oval tinsel
- Body: Peacock herl (3-4 strands twisted)
- Hackle: Brown hen neck (soft hackle)
- Wing: 2 white goose biots (crossed)
Tying steps
- Mount hook. Lay black thread base to bend.
- Tie in 2 brown goose biots forked at an angle as tail.
- Tie in fine gold oval tinsel for ribbing.
- Tie in 3-4 peacock herl strands; twist with thread to form a rope, wrap forward to 3/4.
- Rib with gold tinsel in 5 open turns, tie off.
- Tie in a soft brown hen neck hackle; make 2-3 turns, tie off.
- Tie in 2 white goose biots flat over the back, angled out and crossed.
- Build neat head, whip finish, head cement.
