Tying steps
- Mount hook. Tie in wood duck flank wing upright, figure-eight.
- Wrap to bend; tie in split blue dun hackle tail.
- Tie in a stripped peacock quill at the bend.
- Wrap quill forward in touching turns forming a segmented body to behind wing.
- Tie off quill, tie in blue dun hackle, wrap 4-5 turns.
- Whip finish, apply head cement.
