Materials

Tying steps

  1. Mount hook. Tie in wood duck flank wing upright, figure-eight.
  2. Wrap to bend; tie in split blue dun hackle tail.
  3. Tie in a stripped peacock quill at the bend.
  4. Wrap quill forward in touching turns forming a segmented body to behind wing.
  5. Tie off quill, tie in blue dun hackle, wrap 4-5 turns.
  6. Whip finish, apply head cement.
