How to tie the Sulfur (Dun)

Materials

• Hook: Tiemco TMC 100, #14-18
• Thread: Uni 8/0 Tan
• Tail: Cream hackle fibers (split)
• Body: Pale orange-yellow dubbing
• Wing: Lemon wood duck flank or pale gray CDC
• Hackle: Cream or pale ginger hackle

Tying steps

1. Mount hook. Tie in wing material upright, figure-eight to divide.
2. Wrap to bend; tie in split cream hackle fiber tail.
3. Dub a pale orange-yellow body from bend to behind wing.
4. Tie in cream hackle feather, wrap 4-5 turns, tie off.
5. Whip finish, head cement.
