- Tail: 3 white hackle fibers
- Abdomen: Olive-black thread body
- Rib: Extremely fine wire (28 gauge)
- Wingcase: Black foam or turkey biot
- Thorax: Black dubbing (sparse)
Tying steps
- Mount tiny hook in vise. Use fine thread only.
- Tie in 3 white hackle fibers as tail.
- Build a slim olive-black thread abdomen to the 60% mark.
- Counter-rib with fine wire if desired.
- Tie in tiny black foam or biot wingcase strip.
- Dub a micro-thorax of black dubbing.
- Pull wingcase, whip finish with several half-hitches, cement head.
