Materials

- Tail: Short red yarn
- Body: Yellow closed-cell foam (shaped) or yellow deer hair
- Rib: Brown thread or tying thread
- Wing: Yellow elk hair or mottled turkey quill
- Legs: Yellow knotted rubber legs
- Head: Yellow foam or deer hair
Tying steps
- Mount 2XL hook. Tie in red yarn tail.
- Cut a strip of yellow closed-cell foam and tie in at bend.
- Wrap thread in touching turns to 3/4; fold foam over and segment with thread wraps.
- Tie in mottled turkey or yellow elk wing flat over body.
- Tie in yellow rubber legs on each side.
- Tie in a yellow foam head; tie off with a whip finish.
- Trim head to shape, apply head cement.
